As the metal cools from the outside inwards, directional solidification is achieved and any impurities are forced to the inner diameter where they are machined away during processing.
Our centrifugal casting process has the additional advantages of being able to cast hundreds of standard and custom alloys in a range of sizes and varying wall thicknesses.
Machining time can be dramatically reduced by casting in FLanges and many other design features using net shaping.
Producing centrifugal castings for critical applications including military, power generation and rail attests to the integrity of our process.
· Available in all of our regularly poured alloys with the ability to make custom alloys
· Castings from 5" to 64" in diameter and up to 2400 lbs
· Hundreds of sizes readily available with our inventory of common dies
